How can AI infrastructure resellers offer financing on GPU servers?
An 8-GPU server can list for more than $600,000, and it’s usually replaced within three to five years. Here’s how resellers and integrators can put a monthly payment on everything from one AI workstation to a $1MM-plus data center build.

Why do GPU server deals need financing?
Because the tickets are big and the hardware ages fast. The two 8-GPU servers in the price table below list for $394,406 and $649,380, and that’s before the switches, racks and power that go in with them. Even a lab or an engineering firm buying its first GPU server is looking at a big one-time cost.
A buyer who sees only the price has to find the cash before they can decide on the hardware, and I think that’s where a lot of these quotes stall. Financing turns that cost into a monthly payment that runs while the servers are working, with a term that can end around the next refresh.
The demand is there. NVIDIA reported $89.0 billion of data center revenue for its quarter ended July 26, 2026, up 117% from a year earlier. Dell booked a record $60.9 billion in AI server orders in its quarter ended July 31 and finished with a $95 billion AI server backlog.
So I’d put the payment right next to the price on every quote.
What can go on one agreement?
Nearly everything on your quote. GPU servers, server racks, networking, cooling, and power and UPS gear can go on one agreement, and installation can ride on the same payment on qualifying deals:
- Compute: GPU servers and workstations, from one workstation-class box to 8-GPU HGX systems, plus their storage.
- The gear around them: switches and cabling, server racks, cooling (liquid cooling included), and power and UPS gear.
- Your labor: installation and deployment on qualifying deals. If you buy the hardware from a distributor and add your own labor, that mixed invoice can go on one agreement.
- Software: licenses, implementation and training, multi-year license bundles included, on qualifying transactions. Thinkmate lists a five-year NVIDIA AI Enterprise Essentials license at $17,999 per GPU, so covering an 8-GPU server comes to $143,992.
- Small orders: a workstation or two can be bundled with other gear to reach the usual minimum of about $15,000.
Give software and labor their own lines. Vendor proposals with license, implementation and training on separate lines move faster.
Selling the cluster with a managed service? An MSP’s monthly managed-services fees can go on the agreement, too, and our guide to hardware as a service for MSPs covers that model. You’ll find the full equipment list on our IT and data center hardware financing page.
What do GPU and AI servers cost, and what’s the monthly payment?
In the listings below, prices run from about $20,700 for a workstation with one 96GB GPU to $649,380 for an 8-GPU B300 server. As a rough guide, every $100,000 financed with nothing down is about $3,180 a month over 36 months, or $2,489 over 48:
| Equipment | Seller | Listed price | 36 months | 48 months |

Listed and configured prices checked October 20, 2026. “As configured” rows are the seller’s online configurator total with the GPUs shown. These are listed asking prices, not appraisals or offers, and Five West has no affiliation with these sellers. Payments are estimated examples for established businesses only (two or more years in business), on an equipment finance agreement with no money down and payments in arrears. Actual payments depend on credit approval, the equipment and the term, and a fair market value lease usually comes in lower. Illustrative, not a quote or an offer.
On its own, everything in the table except the B300 server falls under the $500,000 application-only limit, so a qualifying customer won’t have to send financials. Most files get a first response within 1 to 2 business hours, and clean application-only files can be approved in as little as 30 minutes.
There’s more for your reps in our guide to quoting a monthly payment, including lines they can borrow.
Which GPU financing structure fits fast-changing hardware?
For most GPU servers, it’s a fair market value (FMV) lease with a term that ends around the next refresh, plus an equipment finance agreement (EFA) for the gear the customer will keep. The hardware moves fast. NVIDIA said in August that its Vera Rubin platform is now in full production, so the newest servers in the table already have a successor.
- FMV lease, 24 to 60 months: the lowest payment. At the end the customer can buy the gear at market value, extend, upgrade or send it back. FMV terms on GPUs depend on the program, since their resale value is hard to predict.
- 10% option lease: a lower payment than a $1 buyout, with a fixed buyout of 10% of the original cost at the end, for gear they’ll probably keep.
- EFA or $1 buyout lease: the customer owns it. EFAs run 24 to 84 months and are owned from day one, which suits racks, power and cooling that’ll outlast the servers.
- Room to grow: qualifying leases have add-on and upgrade paths mid-term, so nodes added later don’t have to wait for the next refresh.
Servers are usually replaced every three to five years. For GPU servers, I’d lean toward the short end of that range and let the racks, power and cooling run longer on an EFA, a split that works on bigger data center deals, too. Comparing partners? What do $1MM-plus AI infrastructure deals need?
Size, revenue and a full financial package. The programs we place these deals with currently look for deals of $1MM and up, with $25MM annual revenue required and 3+ years in business preferred. A cluster gets there quickly: two of the B300 servers in the table plus two of the switches come to $1,447,674, and that’s before racks, power or installation.
Every deal that size is above the $500,000 application-only limit, so plan on a full package. That typically means:
- Financials: CPA-prepared statements and tax returns, interim figures and a debt schedule.
- Your quote, itemized: GPU servers, networking, power and cooling, and installation on separate lines.
- The schedule: when the hardware ships and when it’ll be installed.
A full package takes longer to underwrite than an application-only file, so bring us in while you’re still scoping the project. As an estimated example, $1,000,000 financed with nothing down is about $31,800 a month over 36 months. Your customer’s finance team can read the buyer’s side in our data center equipment financing guide. Under $1 million, our regular programs start around $15,000.
How do deposits and long lead times work?
Where the equipment requires a deposit, deposit funding can be released once your customer signs the documents, with the balance on delivery. If you bill in milestones, say for a cluster that’s racked, cabled and brought up in stages, progress and pre-funding arrangements are available on qualifying transactions, so you can be paid as each phase wraps up.
My advice on lead times: apply when the order is signed, not when the hardware ships. Puget, for one, says the workstations in the table typically ship in 2 to 4 weeks. Applying early means you can have the approval in hand while the gear is on its way, and standard deals can fund in as little as 24 to 48 hours after signing.
How does the reseller get paid?
In full, when the deal funds. Five West pays you 100% of the invoice directly, after your customer signs and the equipment is delivered and accepted. If that invoice mixes distributor hardware with your own labor, it can still go on one agreement. You don’t carry a receivable or do any collecting, because your customer’s obligation runs to the funder.
There’s no cost to you, either. Behind each submission there are two funding paths: the sharpest pricing, or the Five West direct lending program when speed, certainty or structure matters more. A borderline file is reviewed for a restructure before anyone calls it a decline, with money down, a shorter term, a co-signer or corporate co-guarantor, or a different program. If a file can’t be placed, we’ll say so plainly so your rep can move on.
Which partner tier fits an AI reseller?
It’s the one that matches the application volume you already send, and with GPU hardware that can be a single deal. One B300 server application, at $649,380, is more than the Private Label tier asks for in a month. All three tiers are free, with no setup fee, no monthly fee and no application fee for your customers, and each starts with a 90-day trial.
| Tier | Monthly applications | What you get | In GPU hardware terms |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3rd Party Financing | No minimum | A dedicated finance rep and nothing to sign. Send customers to support@fivewestfinancial.com or a named point of contact. | Start with your next quote |
| Co-Branded | About $100,000, plus one funded deal a quarter | Your logo on a payment calculator and financing page, an apply-online link, the Partner Portal, 100% funding upfront on orders and ongoing training | About one 4-GPU server, or five single-GPU workstations |
| Private Label | About $500,000, under a partner program agreement | Everything in Co-Branded, plus a program built under your brand, CRM integration, annual sales meeting sponsorships, and in-person trade show and event support | About one 8-GPU B200 server plus one 4-GPU server |
Volume counts what customers apply for, whether or not every deal funds, and moving up a tier doesn’t restart anything. If I were starting out, I’d send the next quote through 3rd Party and move up once the volume is there. Our partner tier comparison goes through all three.
On Co-Branded and Private Label, Submit App in the Partner Portal takes about a minute, with no documents and no SSN, and your reps can follow each deal from a phone. Selling workstations online? Our partner widgets put a payment estimate, an apply button or a full financing page on your site with one snippet. You don’t need to be a partner to use them.
Can a newer AI company finance GPU servers?
Yes, through select startup programs, though the file has to be stronger and the first project is usually smaller. Be straight with these buyers about the big programs: the programs we place these deals with currently look for deals of $1MM and up, with $25MM annual revenue required and 3+ years in business preferred.
A company that’s under a year old is underwritten as a startup, which typically means 700+ personal credit, relevant experience, working capital left after the purchase and usually a down payment. Between one and two years in business the field narrows, but deals stay workable.
What makes a newer company’s file stronger:
- Revenue history: even a short one, with clean cash flow behind it.
- Money down and cash left over: a down payment shrinks the amount financed, and cash left after the purchase shows the company can carry the payment.
- A smaller first project: one or two servers now, with more added as revenue grows.
I’d leave the pricing on these deals to the application. Our startup equipment financing guide explains what those files need.
Frequently asked questions
How can a reseller offer financing on GPU servers?
Join a partner program and quote an estimated monthly payment next to every price. It’s free on all three Five West tiers: 3rd Party Financing has no minimum and nothing to sign, Co-Branded adds a co-branded payment calculator, financing page and the Partner Portal, and Private Label runs the program under your brand. Customers apply with a soft credit inquiry, and most get a first response within 1 to 2 business hours.
What’s the monthly payment on a GPU server?
As an estimated example for an established business with nothing down, every $100,000 financed is about $3,180 a month over 36 months. An 8-GPU B200 server listed at $394,406 is about $12,542 a month over 36 months, or about $9,815 over 48. Actual payments depend on credit approval, the equipment and the term.
Can networking, installation and software go on the same agreement as the GPU servers?
Yes, on qualifying transactions. GPU servers, server racks, networking, cooling, and power and UPS gear can go on one agreement, with installation on qualifying deals. A mixed invoice with distributor hardware and the reseller’s own labor can go on one agreement, and so can software licenses, implementation and training, including multi-year license bundles.
Should GPU servers be leased or financed?
Usually leased. A fair market value lease runs 24 to 60 months, has the lowest payment and lets the customer buy, extend, upgrade or return the servers at the end, which fits hardware that’s replaced every three to five years. Fair market value terms on GPUs depend on the program, since their resale value is hard to predict. Racks, power and cooling that’ll outlast the servers usually go on an equipment finance agreement of up to 84 months, owned from day one.
What do you need to finance an AI data center project over $1 million?
The programs we place these deals with currently look for deals of $1MM and up, with $25MM annual revenue required and 3+ years in business preferred. Every deal that size is above the $500,000 application-only limit, so expect a full financial package: financial statements, tax returns, interim figures, a debt schedule and an itemized quote.
When does the reseller get paid on a financed GPU server sale?
When the deal funds. Five West pays you 100% of the invoice after your customer signs and the equipment is delivered and accepted. Where the equipment requires a deposit, deposit funding can be released once documents are signed, with the balance on delivery. You don’t carry a receivable or do any collecting.
Can a startup AI company finance GPU servers?
Yes, through select startup programs. A company that’s under a year old is underwritten as a startup, which typically means 700+ personal credit, relevant experience, working capital left after the purchase and usually a down payment. The programs for the largest data center deals are built around established revenue and time in business, so newer companies usually start with a smaller project.
Start a partner program.
Quote a payment on every GPU deal, get first responses within hours, and get paid 100% of the invoice when deals fund. The partner application takes about 10 minutes, and it’s not a credit application.
