Five West Financial launches the Dealer Portal for vendor partners
Every deal a vendor sends us, from application to funding, behind one sign-in: where each one stands, what happens next, payment estimates for the next sale, and a one-screen way to send a customer. Built for salespeople, on their phones.

Five West Financial today launched the Dealer Portal, a sign-in for the equipment dealers, distributors and manufacturers in its vendor programs that shows every deal Five West is working on with their customers, where each one stands, and what happens next.
Until now a salesperson who wanted to know whether a customer's financing had been approved, whether documents were out for signature, or whether a deal had funded had to call or email and wait. The portal answers those questions in one tap, on a phone, and adds the two things a rep needs most on a lot: a payment estimate for the sale in front of them, and a way to send us a customer in about a minute.
The Dealer Portal is live now at fivewestfinancial.com/portal. It is included with every Five West vendor program at no cost, and each vendor's team is set up by Five West with their own sign-ins.
A salesperson on a lot should never have to call us to find out where a customer's financing stands. The Dealer Portal puts the answer on their phone, in plain words, with whose move it is. And when the next customer walks up, it gives them a payment estimate and a way to send us the deal before the customer leaves.
What is inside
The portal is short on purpose. There are seven sections, and a rep can learn all of them in the time it takes to sign in.
- Home. What is open right now, which deals are waiting on the vendor's invoice, what funded this month, and applications and fundings by month, quarter and year against the same point of the last one, with the closing rate and the average deal size.
- Open deals and closed deals. Every customer, business, amount and stage, with search, a stage filter and sortable columns. Tap one for the details.
- A deal page. The stage in plain words, what happens next and whose move it is, the application number, the equipment, the addresses, and the Five West person on the file with a Call button and an Email button.
- The bell. A deal funded, documents out for signature, signed documents back: what moved since the rep last looked, newest first.
- Quote Builder. Monthly payment estimates for any equipment cost in seconds, on a $1 buyout or an FMV lease, with the Section 179 savings and the math behind a promotional rate. One tap copies the estimate into a text to the customer.
- Submit App. One short screen: the customer, the equipment, the cost. Five West takes it from there and the deal shows up under Open deals.
- Resources. Five West's guides on selling with financing, readable inside the portal, and answers to the questions partners ask most.
Features and benefits
Most dealer tools are a login to somebody else's CRM. The Dealer Portal shows a vendor only what is theirs, says it the way a salesperson would say it, and works the same on a phone as on a desk.
Why we built it this way
The decision that took the longest was what a vendor should see about pricing. The conventional answer is everything: rates, programs, who funded what.
Five West went the other way.
A vendor sees the customer's payment, never the customer's rate. The rate is between the customer and Five West, and a salesperson who quotes a payment range has everything they need to close.
- Stages are written for the person selling the equipment, not for the person underwriting it.
- Every stage says what happens next, so nobody has to guess whether the file is stuck or simply in review.
- The application asks for the minimum. Anything a customer would rather tell us themselves, we ask the customer.
- It is built for a phone first, because that is where a salesperson is when the question comes up.
We did not want to build a dashboard that a dealer principal looks at once a quarter. We wanted the thing a rep opens between customers. If it takes more than one tap to find out whether a deal funded, we got it wrong.
How vendors get access
The Dealer Portal is part of every Five West vendor program. Five West creates each person's account and sends an invitation; the person sets a password and is in. There is nothing to install and nothing to configure on the vendor's side.
Vendors who are not yet partners start with a program. Three tiers exist, from a referral arrangement with no setup to a private-label program under the vendor's own brand, and every one of them comes at zero cost to the vendor. The details are on the vendor programs page, and the vendor partner application takes a few minutes.

What the Dealer Portal is not
The Dealer Portal is not a credit decision and does not make one. Every deal in it is subject to credit approval and underwriting, and the stage shown is the stage of the file at Five West, not a promise about the next one.
Payment estimates in the portal are ranges for illustration. An actual payment depends on the complete file, the equipment, and the program a customer qualifies for, and can come in above the range.
It shows a vendor their own customers' deals and nothing else. Rates and the internal notes on a file stay with Five West.
Availability
The Dealer Portal is available now to Five West Financial's vendor partners in the United States, its territories, and cross-border, at no cost, at fivewestfinancial.com/portal. It works in any current browser on a phone, a tablet or a desk.
Equipment dealers, distributors and manufacturers who want to offer financing can apply to become a vendor partner, compare the programs at fivewestfinancial.com/vendor-program.html, or reach the team at support@fivewestfinancial.com.

Payment estimates in the Dealer Portal are ranges for illustration only. This announcement and the portal are not an offer or commitment to finance. All financing is subject to credit approval and underwriting. Actual payments and terms depend on the complete credit file, the equipment, and the program a customer qualifies for, and can be higher than the figures shown. Screens show an example account; the businesses, people and deals are made up.
